Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chicago, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 amβ9:30 pm. I got the chicken gyoza and Gyukotsu Ramen with Wagyu. It was an extremely rich broth with a beefy umami but fishy taste. Mostly empty when we came on a Tuesday afternoon, service was great. We got our food very quickly. Worth the money, but weβll have to try out more ramen spots in Chicago to see where this ranks.

Really good ramen for a good price. Got the shoyu bowl and chicken Karaage. The shoyu was pretty nice and flavorful and the portion size is also really good. The chicken Karaage was nice and crispy and had an amazing flavor. The staff was also very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The Wagyu Misuji Bun and Chicken Karaage were delicious. The Shoyu Ramen was good, though it was not the best ramen I have had in Chicago. Surprisingly, the tiramisu was excellent. The service was great too.

I found out about this place on TikTok, and I'm so glad I did! I came here for the 1st time over the weekend and had an amazing experience. The overall environment is very cute and feels as if you've been transported to a different country. I ordered the Karaage and Shoyu Prime. My partner ordered the Kimchi ramen. The food arrived fairly quickly and was absolutely phenomenal! This is my new go-to place whenever I am in Chicago.
